Hourani advises Tarboosh Games in sale of majority stake to Voodoo SAS

Hourani & Partners advised Tarboosh Games in the sale of a 51% stake to Voodoo SAS, marking one of the first multi-million-dollar acquisitions of a company based in the DIFC (Dubai International Financial Centre) Innovation Hub.

Tarboosh Games is an independent games developer in the MENA region. It is founded by a group of passionate gamers striving to make a grand entrance into the gaming scene. Tarboosh Games team comes from different cultures and backgrounds with years of credible experience in mobile and PC game development.

Voodoo SAS is a French video game developer with a portfolio of hyper-casual and casual games with over 7 billion downloads and entertains over 150 million people per month. Since the creation of App Store, Voodoo places in third for downloads behind Meta and Google.

The transaction was led by Partner Rudolf Goldschmidt with support from attorneys, Julia Snyder, Reef Hourani, Tarek Moghabghab, Bassem Bedir, Ellen Ray, and Azizah Al Timimi.
