Aakriti Sharma has joined Hourani & Partners as a Senior Associate in the Tax team. Aakriti, an Australian qualified lawyer, brings a wealth of experience in tax law to Hourani. With her extensive background, including pivotal roles at Herbert Smith Freehills, Deloitte, and EY Consulting, Aakriti has established herself as a trusted advisor in the field.

 
Aakriti’s expertise spans multiple jurisdictions, with a particular focus on the GCC region. She played a key role in navigating the introduction of value-added tax (VAT) in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Oman, and Bahrain, showcasing her adeptness at handling complex regulatory landscapes.

At Hourani, Aakriti will provide practical and strategic advice to clients in relation to tax structuring on GCC, MENA and global transactions, documentation reviews, transaction implementation, and post-transaction integration.
