Hourani appoints Zain Satardien to lead Tax & International Trade practice
Zain Satardien has joined Hourani & Partners as Counsel and Head of Tax & International Trade. Zain’s arrival marks a significant milestone as Hourani & Partners continues to develop and expand its Tax & International Trade service lines.
With a core expertise in WTO and international trade law, GCC tax law, and corporate regulatory matters, Zain provides legal and strategic counsel to both private sector clients and public sector institutions across the GCC. Drawing on his 15 years of experience in international trade law, he advises major clients on a range of issues including customs law, tax law (such as income tax, excise tax, transfer pricing rules, zakat, withholding tax, economic substance), and related litigation.
Prior to joining Hourani & Partners, Zain served as Senior Manager of Global Trade at Ernst & Young in Dubai, where he honed his skills in tax law, transfer pricing, and international trade law. Zain is currently completing his Doctor of Laws in WTO Customs Valuation and Transfer Pricing Law, further enhancing his expertise in these critical areas.
