Mohamed is a Partner in the Litigation practice at Hourani. With over 15 years of experience, he has extensive expertise in litigation, arbitration, and mediation across a wide range of sectors including construction, real estate, banking, insurance, hospitality, and financial services.

Mohamed has represented clients in high-stakes disputes before the UAE courts as well as arbitration tribunals across the UK, Europe, the US, and the Middle East under major arbitral rules including ICC, LCIA, DIAC, CRCICA, and ICSID. He also regularly acts as a party-appointed arbitrator in commercial and construction matters.

Prior to joining Hourani, Mohamed was a Partner and Head of Dispute Resolution at a regional firm and previously held senior positions at distinguished international law firms in Dubai including Eversheds Sutherland and DLA Piper.

  • Investors in two high-profile ICSID arbitrations against a sovereign state, with claims valued at USD 257 million and USD 300 million respectively—among the largest claims brought under ICSID against that government at the time
  • One of the UAE’s largest automotive agency businesses in a commercial agency dispute before the local courts, with claims amounting to AED 92 million
